Frequently asked questions

You’ve got questions?

I’ve got answers.

  • Virtually across Texas and In-person walk & talk is offered in Clear Lake Area of Houston.

  • I use a confidential video conferencing platform. After our 15 minute phone consultation, if we decide to move forward with scheduling an appointment, an email is sent with a personal confidential link. Once you click on the link there are consents and simple intake forms. As the forms are completed and received, you are then able to set an appointment. Click on the link that is emailed or sent via text. And we begin.

  • Yes. I offer In-person walk and talk sessions where we meet at a park or a designated outdoor location. The first session will always be virtual.

  • Initial Session: $195

    50 minute-Individual Session: $175

I am not in-network with any insurance companies. If you have “Out-of-Network” (OON) benefits, I am happy to provide you with a monthly statement of services rendered (a “superbill”) for you to submit for partial reimbursement. Some insurance companies do not offer OON benefits. Please call to verify your OON benefits with the following questions:

  • Introductions. We will go over the intake questions and answers that were filled out prior to the appointment. We will review your goals for therapy. At the end of session, we will have a plan on how to get you where you want to be and what approach may work best.

  • Counseling sessions are generally scheduled once a week, at least to start, and may be reduced in frequency as you achieve your goals. Other timings, such as biweekly or monthly, may also be discussed. Some issues may resolve in 3-5 sessions, while other issues may require a longer course of therapy. Everyone’s pace and progress is unique, and there is no right or wrong way.

  • Under the law, health care providers need to give clients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, or how to dispute a bill, see your Estimate, or visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.

  • Currently I am only working with Teens 15 years and up, and Adults. I will see families on a case by case basis.

I am happy to offer referrals to other therapist for Couples or Children.
